Biblical Counseling
Thank you for reaching out for counseling. It is our sincere hope and prayer that we can support you through your fears, frustrations, and questions with the wisdom that comes from Christ.
To make the most of our upcoming counseling session, we kindly ask that everyone seeking counsel first reflect on the following verses and seek guidance from God. Once you have done so, please fill out the form provided, and our church secretary will schedule an appointment with the appropriate counselor.
James 1:19 | My dear brothers and sisters, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
Reflect on the following: Where might you be tempted to be quick to anger in this situation? Ask God to help this verse be true of you.
Proverbs 10:19 | When there are many words, sin is unavoidable, but the one who controls his lips is prudent.
Reflect on the following: How can you choose your words wisely in this situation? Ask God to help you speak what is profitable and nothing to tear down.
1 Peter 4:8 | Above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.
Reflect on the following: What does it look like to “maintain constant love” right now, even for those who have hurt you? Ask God to put His love in your heart for anyone else involved in this situation.
Proverbs 19:11 | A person’s insight gives him patience, and his virtue is to overlook an offense.
Reflect on the following: What does it look like for you to overlook an offense in your trial? Ask God to show you how He would be patient with the people in your life.
After spending a few moments reflecting on the above verses and questions and spending some time in prayer, please fill out the following form.
