Anthem Growth Year Ministry Assistant

The ministry assistant will be responsible for working closely with church leadership and Anthem Growth Year students to help the program meet its goal of providing young adults with the opportunity to develop their character, biblical knowledge, and practical leadership skills while actively engaging in community and creating memorable experiences. During April–December 2022 and March–June 2023, the assistant will help recruit students, develop a calendar, and track the students' payments, academic progress, and attendance. During the academic period of the Anthem Growth Year (June–December 2022 and March–June 2023), the assistant will help create a budget and plan for events, including field trips and team-building activities. During this same period, this individual would be expected to disciple students through one-on-one mentorship and other suitable opportunities.

*The position is guaranteed during April–June 2022, and if at least seven students enroll in the Anthem Growth Year, the position will be extended through June 2023, with a break during January–February 2023.

Requirements:

  • A deep desire to grow as a leader and disciple of Jesus.

  • An engaging personality and the ability to work well with others.

  • A regular attendee at Faith Community Church for at least six months prior to applying. Alternatively, a regular attendee at a like-minded church (must provide a pastoral reference).

  • Agreement with Faith Community Church’s statement of faith and church practice.

  • A high school diploma or the equivalent. College experience is preferred but not required.

  • Office experience and organizational skills preferred.

  • Ability to work 20 hours per week during regular office hours.

Compensation includes:

  • Starting wage of $14 per hour.

  • Professional development resources (books, mentorship, etc.).

  • All expenses directly associated with every Anthem Growth Year event (field trips, team building activities, etc.).

  • The option of joining the church's trips to Israel and Asia during Anthem Growth Year's academic break (January–February 2023). If the candidate chooses to join these trips, airfare and lodging would be provided by Faith Community.
