Church History Class: The Protestant church

On July 21 we will begin part 5 of our ongoing church history class during both the 9:30 and 11:00 services in room 5. We invite you to join us as we use a biblical lens to track the history of the Protestant church from 1800–1865. You will hear about the Second Great Awakening, the role of Christianity in the American Civil War, and the birth of the missions movement. We will also wrestle with what today’s church can learn from the 19th-century church (both its successes and failures). If you have any questions or would like to join us, contact O. J. Gibson for more information at (805) 340-5160 or gibsonoj@masters.edu, or just come!
